When shooting for my second catwalk look I thoroughly enjoyed it as I have to say this was definitely my favourite look of them all! I feel the whole make up and hair really suited my model and also related well to the look I was aiming for which was a futuristic look using the Star Wars theme from my brand and also relating it to spring/summer 2016 with the high fashion trend of metallic.
I loved how the dewy skin base looked when shooting as you can really see the contour and highlighting on the face which gives off a really nice glow. I also loved how bold the gold showed up on camera, I feel the gold on my models eyes and lips looked really effective up against her skin tone. With bottom eye-liner also being a big trend this spring/summer I decided to create my own using black and gold patterned stickers and cutting them out to place under my models eyes which I also felt came up looking great on camera as it gave that real futuristic feel. The long, pointed, black matte nails and the gold jewellery were props that I used for the shoot which I feel complimented the look really well. With the jewellery I didn't just use just any gold jewellery I used jewellery that I thought would look futuristic and I feel I definitely got this feel with the jewellery I chose.
The gold spray brushed through the hair also looked great on camera as I feel it really complimented my models golden brown hair as well as her bronzed skin tone.
I got my model to do many different poses when shooting, although my favourite was my model holding her hand up to the face as I feel this really showed off the nails, the jewellery as well as the make up and everything else.
When shooting I decided to shoot against a plain black background as I felt this would really show off the gold which was the main aspect that I wanted to portray in this shoot. To begin with I took some shots of my model in a white jacket however it wasn't working for me so I asked my model to remove it and took some more images without it and thought they looked much more effective.
