Catwalk - Look 2
Gold is a beauty colour for spring/summer 2016 make up trends as it expresses individuality and also has an abundance of shows of wealth and wealth is often defined with the colour gold. Below shows some images of golden, metallic lips which Pat McGrath created giving a futuristic appeal. Using these bright, bold colours such as gold is getting us ready for days when fashion will have no borders.
My chosen brand Max Factor who partnered up with Star Wars for their new film and the bold gold used in the above images also links in with this by giving it that futuristic feel. Pat McGrath created the characters make up looks, one of which was character Droid where she also used gold. Droids make up is strong gold eyes, gold lips and high shine cheekbones with a metallic look which is also a popular trend this season.

Below is a video clip in which I watched on YouTube by Max Factor. This video gave me great inspiration as it shows great looks for catwalk and a great use of the colour gold has been used. The gold is really bold around the eye area giving it a metallic shimmery look and the lashes are kept natural and long with a thin coat of mascara. The lips are a bold, ruby red which really relates to Max Factor's spring/summer Marilyn Monroe collection for 2016. I also feel the gold and red really complement one another.
When researching I also came across these inspiring gold clad Egyptology fantastic beauty looks for The Blonds spring/summer 2016 which also linked in with my ideas with the metallic golds and the futuristic look. The bottom eye-liner/under liner is also something that is a popular trend this season and is one of the most sexiest looks seen among all the spring/summer 2016 trends. I really like the creativity of these images.
I also have an Art and Makeup book by Lan Nguyen-Grealis which I brought a while back from Kryolan. I love it as it gives me so much inspiration and ideas. When looking through it I came across the image shown below and thought it related to my theme. The model has a sexy red lip with a satin finish which looks really glamourous and she has golden tones which have been used to highlight the cheekbones for a strong contoured cheek but can still see softness when the light is on her face.
