This is my second editorial shoot which I had to redo as I wasn't entirely happy with my previous one. Unfortunately my previous model I used wasn't available at the time I needed her to do the hsoot which meant I had to quickly find a new model. However I was very pleased with my new model as I really felt she suited the look as her dark skin tone really complimented the blues I used for her make up. This time round I decided to use a brighter blue on the eyes and lips so it didn't look so harsh on the models face, although I did still use products with a shine to still give that metallic look relating to spring/summer 2016 and the also the Max Factor blue hue spring/summer collection shown below. I also decided to leave out the blue contouring on the cheeks this time as I felt this also made the images look too harsh last time.
With the models eye make up I blended different shades of blue together to give a two toned eye-shadow effect, starting with a light blue on the inner eye and going darker towards the outer eye making the darker blue match to the colour blue in my models hair. I feel my model has the perfect eye shape for this look. I then added some natural false eye lashes to my models eyes to enhance them and finished the look using a black gel liner on the outer sides of the eyes.
I got my inspiration for the make up from my chosen brand Max Factor star wars look shown below. The blues make the look look very futuristic as well as it linking into the spring/summer trend this season.
My model has synthetic hair which I decided to plait and style myself, I got my inspiration from the look shown below and just changed it up slightly to make it my own.
My friend from Bournemouth has a photography studio which he kindly let me use last minute to do my shoot in and I used the blue back drop to compliment my look.
